They want to bring back travel to 50%+ post Covid and I am not feeling that motivated to be away from my family that often. I have an opportunity to join a startup as a Sr. PM likely making the same or a tiny bit less. But no travel and not consulting. All internal project. I don’t know what else I should be looking at. I am asking here cause you guys are all smarter than my childhood friends…

If you decide to move down a level in your next role, for learning purposes and for more wlb, is that frowned upon by future employers and looks bad on your resume? I've been think about it but haven't pulled the trigger. Also fear that getting a lower level job will be tough if they see me as 'over-qualified'. For context, this would be going from a director role to a SM or Manager role.
