In 2024, is it still relevant to ask 15+ years experienced professionals for exact syntax knowledge in interviews?

With AI tools like GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT handling syntax and code generation, should interviews for seasoned professionals still focus on syntax?

At this stage, wouldn’t problem-solving, system design, and strategic thinking better showcase expertise?

Hello! I have a panel interview tomorrow with MBA for an EA role. Would anyone have any input on the company or prep ideas please?

I interviewed at a law firm and had my final round last Friday. The Tuesday afterward, I got a call from the recruiter saying the firm won’t have a decision for another week. I believe they’re interviewing other candidates. Does that make me second or third choice? And does the fact that I’m working with a recruiter hurt my chances of being selected due to the commission? Should I hold out for the offer or is 1+ week a sign that I won’t be selected?
