Hire full-time nanny.
FT Nanny is the only real option. We had the same situation as OP and transitioned to part time nanny once our child was 3 and enrolled in Montessori
Daycare and being strict about being around for pick up / dinner / bedtime
Full time nanny seconded and try not to go bankrupt
Although I was in industry at the time I did this with two young children. Like others mentioned I went the Nanny route. IDK what I would have done without her. The kids were more excited to see her every day than anyone else. I still remember them peeking out the front window waiting for her car to pull in the driveway in the mornings.
I did this with a 10 day old - my wife was furloughed, and my parents moved to snowbird home. The first 3 months sucked - I had to coordinate off hours a lot given the newborn and my team understood.
It gets better - at the 3 month mark you’re just exiting the hardest period.
We pay almost a second mortgage for daycare in Chicago though.
