Hi Fishes
I would like to know about the client interviews (especially in data science or machine learning roles).
Are these interviews tough?
Are these interviews meant to assess technical knowledge? For example, what is binomial distribution, what are different data structures in python, ml algorithms etc.
I would request each of the nagarrians to share their thoughts irrespective of the technologies you are working.
I am thankful to you for taking time and helping me out.

UK salaries suck balls
@SM1: You seriously think the U.K. is socialist? Christ...
That's actually average.
Starring for UK SA is about 39/40 up to about 50k
I started with the UK firm as a Senior before moving to the US. Starting salary at that grade was 37k (about five years ago) and went up to 46k IIRC, so 44k sounds about right. Also, we had benefits which could be converted to cash and came to around 5-7k which helped. Consulting comp in the UK is about 60% of what it is here.
#socialismsucks
Is that sufficient to survive and live the good life we do here?
No, nowhere close. London is more expensive than NYC.
Ask if they help with taxes and moving costs, expect nyc/dc level cost for housing bust most everything is cheaper.
44k is the internal promote salary that people get when they had been a staff. If theres a pull for you to go to London or you were external hire to senior in the US I think you have scope to negotiate an external hire salary, which is higher in the uk, as it is in the us. If you're pushing them to take you and just doing it for the experience then that's the pay off I'm afraid.
Lmao SM1, you clearly don’t know what socialism is
Consulting salaries are low in the UK because it's a smaller and less well established market. Many companies still take on major initiatives themselves with little outside help. If you want to earn six figures in London before the age of 35, work in law or finance.
