There are practice ones on our website somewhere or they should’ve provided them to you. If all else fails, look it up on YouTube or whatever.
As far as process, there really isn’t a right or wrong answer, but they do want to see that you are able to sift through information overload, use some sort of structured approach, and tackle the root problem of the prompt with an action plan.
- Make sure you have all the info you need when you go through the case for the first time.
- You can ask questions to the interviewer if you need more details
- Walk them through your understanding of the case, all of the important details, etc. making sure that they are able to correct you if need be on the ground level before you get to work.
- Study frameworks(people/process/technology, SDLC, etc. are what I’ve used before in tech cases) before the interview so you can use them to craft an answer if need be. Don’t state the framework when you are working on an answer to the prompt(s), but instead use it to structure your recommendation for the case.
- Make sure you cover all of the bases for the problem(s) with your solution(s). Feel free to cover any risks and mitigation as well if any are super obvious to you.
- Last but not least, make sure you’re somewhat relaxed and social. Be kind, have conversations, don’t treat it like a one-sided thing. They are quizzing more than your intelligence, so show that you are someone that they wouldn’t mind working with (from an intelligence, social, and professional aspect)
I can’t think of if I’m missing anything cuz it’s been a few years. But this worked pretty well for me! Good luck!
They gave me materials to prep. Good luck!
