Currently a mgr in the advisory practice of a big 4 firm. Was recently approached for a sr mgr/ associate director position at protiviti. Does anyone know the salary range?
Guys I’d appreciate your perspectives on this: how big of an asshole am I for staying in the interview process for a few interesting opportunities despite having received an offer from one of my top choices (80% chance will accept). I’m a first year recruiting for summer 2021 internships FYI.
Would you work for a company that you like and provides great exit ops, but it's in the middle of nowhere? Having 2nd thoughts about going in to interview...
Interviewing with Accenture for Senior role in Guidewire Delivery in NE ( NYC, Boston, Hartford or Philly). Any idea on pay ranges and signing bonus?
What’s a good role for someone who isn’t passionate about the corporate world but wants to live a certain quality of life? I was stressed and unfulfilled as a consultant so switched to an industry role (in the office of CIO, total comp is <$200k) and am now bored with the work and my much older coworkers. Am I destined to hate my job or have I not found the right one? Am in my late 20s without career goals or trajectory that excite me and considering grad school as a way to pivot
Is it worth it to get a professional certification like SHRM/PHR? Not many of my colleagues have one and it’s not a requirement for my role, but I’m curious if it’s worth it in the long run
How does one get into strategy / mgmt consulting without having an MBA? Are mgmt consulting jobs only reserved for MBA grads? I feel like I have great ideas that I could put forth and potentially do a good job as a mgmt consultant but I come from an accounting/tax technology background (CPA).. would I just never be relevant for a consulting role unless I got an MBA?
What are good reasons to give an interviewer for wanting to go into a FP&A /finance roll instead of accounting? I have my own reasons, but what would be a good response for interview purposes? I find finance more interesting
Anyone from A&M turnaround and restructuring practice willing to chat? Looking to get some first hand experience and interview insights
Interviewed for in house job a couple weeks ago. They said they would provide an update in one to two weeks, but now two weeks have passed. Ok to follow up? Want to reiterate interest.
Been through so many screening interviews where firms don’t hire H1Bs till the point that I stopped caring.
I’ve been interviewing with a B4 firm, but recently found out I’ve been promoted. Assuming I decide to stay at ACN, do I bow out of the interview process now, or wait until the interviews are done and
KPMG 🐠, if I was submitted as a referral, do I then need to apply for the role on the experienced hire page? The automatic email from KPMGs referral program is confusing.
Looking for an IC role and hands on tech, no pm stuff, I want to do the work. I have some experience in Analytics and python. Has anyone moved to tech, in analyst or other roles exiting consulting?
How are downgrades in title perceived? I plan to leave a ~200 person startup with a 25 person tech + product org. This is my first managerial position with 2 YOE at this level, 8 YOE total. Even though my title is Director, I get to make virtually 0 decisions and am completely beholden to stakeholders and product. No mentorship from boss, and learned nothing for nearly 12 months. Not convinced I’m qualified for a true Director-level position. How bad does dropping to Eng Manager look long-term?
How do we feel about people pushing their way to the front of the plane exit because they ‘have a connection’? We weren’t really delayed, may 20 minutes behind schedule...
What other consulting companies are positioning to take the leap toward Discretionary Time Off for all client-facing employees? Or, already there...
Hi All, Looking at exit ops in industry. About 1yr with EY tech advisory, only been on 2 projects, one doing some Data Analytics work (Python, AWK, R, Sql) and now doing QA integration testing. Cont.
Could anyone speak on the LA offices of MBB? Anything on the size. Industries, exit opps, and culture relative to other offices would be helpful
Curious if anyone has any data points on how much they spend on clothing annually. I probably spent 5% of total earnings and I feel that’s a bit high. Anyone else have something to compare to?
BizOps or Customer success? Looking at exit options and love-hate these two roles. BizOps can be great as an internal consultant but can also just be another title for program manager. Customer success is cool to be near product and be in front of customers too but is it just a new name for customer support and account management? Which one would you lean to?
Struggling to find a printer/scanner for my home office for under $200 with more than a 3.5 star rating. Recommendations?

Partner at a firm I was interviewing with asked what other firms I am interviewing with and under pressure I told him, bad idea ? Did I mess up ??
Has anyone transferred from west coast to Midwest? Do they market adjust right away or adjust your comp for it during the promotion cycle? Guessing mine will decrease but I've heard mixed things
