Bain & Company Got dinged after a final round AC interview with Bain & Company as an experienced hire with 1 YOE. Currently at $75k base salary and on average work 30-40 hours a week.
Considering $15-25k increase in salary, but double the number of work hours, is it worth reapplying to Bain next year or better to wait to apply until after business school?

DoorDash is notorious for using the interview as free labor

The only thing dashing at DoorDash is the talent out the door
Is it really that bad at DD
Honestly I had a pretty bad experience. Got through to final rounds. Had invested quite a bit of time into the process by then, but during the last round it was clear they already had a candidate in mind and the hiring manager was a lot less interested & engaged than in our initial first call. Also had to send recruiter two follow ups for them to officially reject me (even tho I saw it coming I had gone through all the rounds so I just wanted a response out of respect)
What was the behavioral like?

Why?! Is it not a good team

The assessment was fine and I got through that. The two other interviews after were with a senior manager and manager that couldn’t have cared less about interviewing me let alone someone joining the team. In fact one guy was smoking while I was talking and the other woman was eating. After that I’d never join that team based on those two 30 minute interviews.
I just declined DoorDash interview because of the level and comp. Haven’t heard good things about culture either - similar to Amazon.
Behavioral is more like a case. They're gonna ask specific questions about DoorDash operations and how'd you solve their problems. Also, make sure you know how to use SQL because apparently that, and operating in Google Sheets, is all you'll be doing.
OP, can you elaborate on the take home assessment and what was it like?
Yea my experience was not positive either. Went to the final round but pulled out because i got a very amazon-like vibe from the team. Didn’t help that the Tc range was like 15% lower than my current TC and wlb was not expected to be better. Only point that made me hesitate to pull out was the expected business growth and the fact that they promote people fast to leadership roles but not enough to offset everything else
How much did they offer you on TC??
