Big4 senior 3 tax comps?
I recently got a verbal offer from KPMG strategy. Is that more prestigious than like, most other firms? Like, I know MBB is done with recruiting; I feel like below MBB for name recognition is the Big 4 and other firms aren’t as reputable. I’m trying to decide whether or not I should interview and apply to other firms or just take this one (assuming a written offer ever comes along). Also, I prioritize work culture and exit opportunities over salary, but don’t want to be paid below poverty line.
Hello folks,
Looking for some honest advice. Considering an offer with SocGen B’lore for Specialist Software Engineer position with 5.5 years exp and into Tech service management. Could you please tell me a bit about following points?
- 25% of the compensation(5Lakhs) is Variable. Does company even pay 60% of it at the end of the year if you perform say 4/5 rating?
- What is an average annual hike that the firm gives?
- How is the work culture and LGBTQ inclusionpolicy? Société Générale

Seems so low especially for tax that has 2 busy seasons
I make 90 at senior 3 in Detroit
I'm an S1 in Dallas (medium cost of living relative to Chicago?) making 80, so 92 definitely seems low in Chicago
thats really low in a normal year. 2020, it’s bad but explainable. Did you get promoted this year without a raise?
Nope
If you’re an accountant coming up through Deloitte in BTS/MTS, it seems about par for the course. I’ve had some manager friends make that as their base. The bonus is the up in the air factor probably
Low end of the range for newly promoted manager was $115k 6 years ago at Chicago PwC...
Pretty low for all the overtime you’ll be putting in for compliance and consulting projects
I make 93.6 for experienced senior in Dallas
