Im not searching for a new job but an acquaintance reached out about a similar role at a similar energy company.Turns out 2 ppl threw my name in the hat. I looked into it and the position was posted 2 weeks ago.Their director wants to meet.I bet pay is one of the first things to be discussed so that no one’s time is wasted.Am I crazy for not wanting to entertain it for less than 20-25% base pay increase? Is it selfish to ask for more? I’m sure most salary conversations end in negotiation anyways?
Is there a dance team in ND office?

I'm not really surprised. I feel like COVID is one of the biggest medical issues of our lifetime, and there's still so much that we don't know. Not only about COVID, but about the long-term impacts and implications. Or how to prevent the next one. We need COVID-19 research now more than ever.
Yeah it's obviously an evolving virus that has produced many different strains, and should continue to be studied. I don't think corona viruses are going anywhere any time soon, we should definitely understand them as well as we can.
I'm not entirely sure what you're asking. I'm not surprised they are still funding covid research just like I'm not surprised that the flu is still actively researched. The more we can understand about viruses, the better.
Considering how many budget cuts have been hitting us, it is shocking Covid is getting any attention. Since everyone decided Covid is over, despite the fact that it's still killing around 100 people a week in the country.
I guess it may be surprising given how Covid research has been politicized. But of course they're still needing to study it. Viruses don't care about propaganda campaigns or crackpots with podcasts, and a dangerous and evolving virus is always a danger to public health.
