Question! I just moved(transferred) to another team of my company and received new title, graphic & creative services. I was a senior graphic designer at the previous team. What do you think about my new title? I know that title is not a big thing but why I feel like my title is downgraded here… Good thing is my jobs here at my current team are what I really wanted to do. This is amazing. I love my new team and people here! Super healthy working environment! But just curious about the title.

Looking for honest opinions: would you trust career advice from someone who doesn’t necessarily have a background in career coaching but has always been “that friend” that everyone calls for career advice, resumes, salary negotiations etc?

I have 10 years of experience. Mostly in Unix, C++ and Visual C++ and MS SQL. I developed interest in cloud computing as like many others and was able to clear AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Solution Architect Associate and Professional, AWS Security. Along with these I was able to clear 8 Azure certifications as well: 3 fundamentals, Azure Security, Azure Developer, Azure DevOps and Azure Architect.
Now my main question, can I try to switch on Cloud Architect or some other similar cloud roles?

At what point does the value of a degree fall off? I'm in my early 30s, and have five years of experience, and work on a very theoretically interesting project. I need help. I work in performance analytics, but leading projects surrounding privacy, consent, auditing, and a lot of things legal related. I already feel underpaid, but now I also feel like I'm being placed in charge of things above my pay scale, but maybe I'm wrong 🤷🏽‍♀️. Ref 70k range, 5+ yrs experience, educated and working on sec+ certs. Is this average pay? I don't even know what job title I would fall under with all things privacy security related. I am looking for a entry level position in cybersecurity.

What is the standard yearly hike in IT Security industry in North America? I have worked for 7 months in Threat Intelligence in a company in Canada, and I got a yearly hike of just 3% in my first appraisal cycle. My manager says that you get 3% when you are meeting expectations but not going above and beyond. Is this the standard or am I being underpaid? According to me, I haven't gone above and beyond every day, but there are some things I did work on exceptionally well.
