S2? Yeah i don’t think its reasonable unless you are going for S3. Even as S3 You can only achieve 140-150K by including the signing bonus
You’re reaching into the manager band there so no - I don’t think it’s reasonable. Some specialty practices (ITS) may pay that much in the AM space. If they do give you that be prepared to get very low raises until you’re back in the regular band.
I’m an S2 (different practice cyber, but lower col) at 157k base, think you’re within your rights to ask. Worse they can say is no.
Test
$140-150k is manager+ range. Go ask but don't be disappointed. Go into industry and you'll get that, perhaps. Unless you're super phenomenal, I would anticipate $125k range give or take a few Gs.
I think it’s a negotiating position but don’t expect to actually get it. You might start there and get $120K /$125K.
S2 here base of 170k; NYC; specialty practice. So… not impossible but depends.
SM1 base was 145k in dallas. Obviously nyc is a different market but I think 140k+ is likely into manager band even in nyc.
168k S3 in NYC, Strategy & Transaction
I’m curious how 200k can be the top of the director band in a mcol location when I see numbers like this.
