Is bait and switch a thing at your firm? Like the project owner promises to give you a team lead role, and once you’re on board, asks you to prove yourself first. It’s happened to me and another person in a different office. I don’t get the point of doing this. And whether it’s a thing that regularly happens during transitions.

My total experience is 5 in QA, I attended Deloitte interview. First round was technical and it went quite well, they asked lot of theory questions. I answered few and quite I was not sure of answers. She gave feedback like my communication and confidence level is good and project wise I'm having good knowledge and coming to concept wise it's not upto the mark for experience. How much does internal operations director at McK or Bain make a year in NAMR?

Today, I received an invite for a coffee chat with a consultant. I’m of course going to do both, but the emails make it seem like they are almost two separate paths/disconnected processes. Can anybody offer some insight into each of these/the process?

For folks starting at BCG (experienced hires) in August, is there any indication as to what the first week(s) of orientation and training is like? I.e., remote vs in-person (if in-person, which city), etc.
