Does anyone know if the same 401k rules apply at EY as Accenture so they will cap the contributions coming for your check say if you hit the yearly limits in August? So if you hit the 22,500 in 23 there is no way to go over for tax issues. Thinking to frontload next year contributions if market is down. EY

Get on the dating/social apps and try to match with someone in the cities you would like to visit. Order the visits based on the results

Highly recommend Honolulu. Depending on which time zone you work in, it could be a tough adjustment but it should leave you plenty of daylight to explore afterwards. Plus all the young people are crowding there so it would be a perfect destination to enjoy life and meet other people
Do it. You’ll learn more about yourself and get to explore so many places

I thought about doing this. I’m in my late 29, single and nothing holding me back. But then I realized that I spent 60-70 hrs/week in front of my computer working. So I’d just be doing the same at a different place and time to actually go out and explore is little to none.
I’m instead taking a week/month off in the summer and going to new places, and working remote.

Try one month, one city. See how you like it. Easy. Better if you have a friend in the city. (Or just leverage Fb!)
My partner and I are planning to do that this winter! Check out Landing apartments. They have a whole network! Hellolanding .com
Anywhere that is fully furnished is expensive, unfortunately. The other option to try is AirBnB monthly, for either rooms or entire units. They can get ya with the fees but there are some great deals!
I did this for a bit. Have always had a wanderlust spirit, but my experience this time around tempered it. It became more of a hassle than enjoyable. Incredibly lonely too— you don’t make deep connections with the people you meet. One month is not enough time. Missed my long term friends tremendously.
I came to live in the bay with family. Hordes did what you thinking of.
Hire an rv and travel
Stay 1 month in an airbnb in different cities
Bunk with friends and family
Spend time with family
Put all your thing sin storage, hop on your car and travel away
Just be safe, wear masks and follow all covid 19 protocol. You don't want to get sick on the road or come in contact with other sick people.
Hey! My husband and I did this for most of the pandemic. I can't speak to the friends piece (he's my only friend even when I'm not moving every month lol) but I'd highly recommend! Like others said, I'm mostly in front of my computer all week but I took extra advantage of the weekends, and also rented places where I'd be happier working (walking on the beach in the AM in Florida, working on balcony in AZ, etc.). I did lose a few weekends to driving which if you can I'd recommend doing this flying instead so you lose less time. Also, plan your stays ahead of time to find good places to stay. If you're looking for budget friendly in a pinch, I found some residence inn at good prices for the month but definitely preferred the special Airbnb's I found ahead of time. Also make sure you have reliable wifi wherever you rent, or have a backup chip in your PC.
Time zones can be tough but my fave location was actually Hawaii. I'd wake up watching the stars, had some time in PM to explore or go to the pool quickly and everything closes after sun down there anw.
I’m super interested in doing this too. Anyone have any Airbnb’s they loved?
