I have steam on mine and have been playing games for 3 years so far. No complaints from IT
@Deloitte2 I find your statement condescending. Not fair too imply that people who play video games don't also have social lives. Even if that's not what you're implying, it's unreasonable to expect someone to "interact with people" every waking moment... Especially when considering many are introverts and find energy in solitude
Go out and interact with people. Much higher ROI.

@OP spot on! @D2 I have both, friends and my games! Like OP says when I want my solitude, I have my games and when I want human interaction I have my friends. It's not binary! Everything has its own place and time. Different ROI for different investments!

@Atlanta1 and the reason that the "you shouldn't play video games" statement is condescending is because you aren't seeing the same things on the "What should I watch on Netflix" threads. Video games are arguably a much better use of time than Netflix yet get more criticism because they aren't as cool.
it might be but I've never been caught. the comp is kinda slow for most real games. not much of a video card
@deloitte2 has a point. If you're a valuable resource, you don't have much free time, regardless of the day of the week. So instead of playing video games or complaining about people criticizing this habit, maybe go call the people you care about or spend your downtime on the plane getting shit done so you can "have a social life" as you claim you actually maintain.

Relax. Never said you didn't have a social life. Time is an extremely limited resource, especially during the work week. Just make sure you're using it effectively.
@Atlanta1 if you don't set boundaries on your projects, you have no free time. Not true that good consultants shouldn't have "much free time." I've thus far gotten great ratings on my project while averaging 60 hours per week (including travel time), which leaves me 108 hours a week of free time. I sleep about 50 of those, which leaves over 50 hours left
@Delloitte OP there is bias when it comes to games. Really, what's the difference between watching Netflix and playing video games? It's one's personal preference. I really don't get the basis of the criticism. All I can say is game on!
