Is it still ok to use the phrase “caught with our pants down“ or “open kimono” ? an older partner I work with uses phrases like these quite frequently….

As long as you got your bonus and he's not catching your pants down it's ok

I’ve never had a problem with open kimono. Not sure why people on here are acting like A4 is crazy.

like

They’re acting like that because they are members of a micro generation that was raised to believe that being a good person means accepting that every claim of offense, no matter how obviously silly it is, must be taken very seriously.

I think that was inspired by noble intentions and probably accomplished some very good things, but it got to the point that you see on this thread and the pendulum swung back. I hope it does not swing back too far (although I guess it already has). Sensitivity is generally good.

Another one he said today “we’re going into bed with these guys”

SO. WHAT?

like

How about “we’re already pregnant with the issue”?

Oh no! It makes you think of a lady’s belly, which is dirty, dirty, dirty. Also, some people can’t get pregnant!

What’s the issue with caught with pants down? Kimono is obvious.

To open one’s kimono refers to opening a robe to demonstrate that there are no weapons hidden beneath it. There’s no sexual connotation.

Who cares

In this time, probably not. But it was probably fine in his culture. Just roll with it I guess.

Is it more worth it to go into FDD at a regional firm now, or hope that my current big 4 will transfer me come spring 2021?

I'm kind of in the mindset of only doing FDD at big 4, otherwise I'll go straight to industry. Am I being too down on mid-market FDD experience and the related exit ops?

Also, I can't go the route of doing FDD at a different big 4. Already got rejected by all of them cause I'm not in audit (but have CPA).

Hi Folks.. Anybody here with core Financial services industry work experience and have career switched to IT domain (specifically into RPA)? Thanks

I had final round interviews last week for the company I really want to work for. I have an offer from another company, which I communicated to the recruiter which expedited the interview to final rounds. I need to respond to the other company's offer letter soon. Should I follow up with the hiring recruiter for the company I want an offer from? Or just move on if I haven't heard back by end of this week?

I’m a second year associate and last night I was online until 2:30 AM waiting for one specialists comment to a purchase agreement. I had added all comments during the day from everyone else, and the midlevel and senior were online as well, but it seemed very strange to ask me to stay up just to add three sentences to a purchase agreement. Is this normal?
