A cautionary tale . .
Hi guys,
Could you please tell me which company to join? Considering wlb and learning opportunities as I'm still a fresher. I have recieved offers from tech Mahindra, Deloitte, Brillio, temenos and accolite. Which is better to join for 1.5 years of experience, considering new learning opportunities and wlb. Accolite is paying 100% more than Deloitte. Accolite Digital Deloitte USI Brillio Temenos AG
PS:please state the reasons for the same thanks.

Look into specific things you are interested in. There is a million different things you can do as an engineer in every discipline, and your typical work day can vary a lot based on company, location, job title etc…. I was fortunate to work for a company that has a lot of variety so I was exposed to many different things within civil rather than kinda doing the same thing everyday, which helped me narrow down the type of work I enjoy doing and the type of work I don’t enjoy doing.
It's something you need to have a lot of passion for, and make sure you continuously remind yourself why you are doing it. Studying engineering in uni is not for the faint of heart, but it's so worth it for those determined to spend their lives learning and creating.
Make sure you truly love it. I saw many classmates burnout and quit halfway through the major. A lot of the classes are so specialized it can be hard to transition to another career
Take time to explore all the different subsets; a lot of people don't realize how many specialties there are. I think that's actually why so many people are confused about what engineers actually do... landscape architecture, product design, and construction workers can all be engineers. So try out everything to find out what you like best
You will feel unprepared a lot of the time, and that's because you're paving the road instead of just walking where others have already laid ground. Trust your instincts. If you are perpetually curious, can never accept an answer without wondering WHY it's true, and want to dive headfirst into anything you don't know, then you'll be fine! If any of those aren't true, or stop being true in the future, it might be time to reconsider.
I would tell them that if they are just interested in it because they want to impress others with their title, then that's the wrong reason. You can't pursue it if it's your parent's dream for you either. It has to be your passion.
