Is it unfair that some people are working two or more remote jobs, basically double dipping, while the rest of us are desperately trying to find one job? There are so few jobs out there, it sucks that some grabbed up all they can and leave nothing for anyone else.

Anyone who double dips and takes two full time roles deserve to be fired for cause if found out.

like

No they don't. They deserve to have one job that affords them the same pay so they don't have to work two jobs. Also a company won't find out unless you tell them and they aren't allowed to run a background check without your authorization.

like

I have one part-time job now. I'm actively looking for other opportunities, too. Don't get bitter, get better. Constantly improve your skills through new courses and earn certificates as proof of that. Make projects on your own to showcase your abilities, talents, and passion. Volunteer and help solve real-life problems, and showcase that on your CV and resumé. If they hire someone over you, then you should most probably work on yourself.

Hello we are currently hiring for a remote sales job that pays weekly

That's how it goes nowadays. As soon as you see or hear about a remote job, you have to apply for it right away or you lose out.

like

By looking at, and drooling over, the jobs that other people have, you're allowing a misdirection of energy. This creates a bitter thinking pattern. Rather than doing this, consider all the positive attributes you have and how the company will benefit by hiring you to do the job.

like

I definitely agree with you. But I also think that there is a huge risk and a gamble when they do that kind of thing. Yeah, it's not fair. But they could get found out and lose both.

There were a lot of stories about that sort of thing during the pandemic, and I'm sure it happened. But I can't believe it's as common as people thought. I suppose in some fields you could perform two jobs in a day, but in most scenarios it just wouldn't work. Besides the obvious problems with overwork, it would also be risky. If one job discovered what was happening and judged it a conflict of interest the person would be fired.

😆 you’re kidding right?

Offering advice to job seekers who go around recruiters and message hiring teams, execs, etc. You are putting the Recruiters job in danger. If a Recruiter declines you or doesn’t choose to reach out, it is because the hiring team declined you, or you don’t have the experience. You will most likely not be considered for future roles because of this. When I see people giving advice to reach outside the Recruiter, it’s bad advice. Very rare is this a good idea.
