So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

I did the LinkedIn post, got hit up by a company the next day, spent a week interviewing and now have a new job. DO IT!

Wow, congratulations!!!!
It can’t hurt. You never know who in your network knows of potential opportunities

On LinkedIn, typically the posts are seen by your direct network and if they comment then their network will see it. I’ve seen a lot of those posts but it can’t hurt.
I would also suggest reaching out to people in your network directly. You never know who knows who or asking for warm intros.

Lead with a check-in, how are they doing. How’s their family. Then you can talk about what you have been working on and it’s unfortunate but you were laid off. Ask what resources they may be able to provide: resume review, referral etc.
Also apply for unemployment if you haven’t already.

You should post on both - it will only help your chances and there is no shame in it. Best of luck!

Also, if anyone is hiring mid to senior level producers, I’m available!

Can’t hurt! I’d focus the post to be your excited to try something new, rather than rehashing getting laid off. Best of luck!
Lots of people are laid off and there’s few jobs. So ask yourself — what’s your point: sympathy or something else? Why make your bad news someone else’s burden or a stressor. Tell your family — you can likely spare the worldwide public post.
O1, you sound like a grinch, sorry but not everyone has such negative viewpoints and instead have empathy towards others.
Its like, uh, what is that thing you need to do, because otherwise no one will know your product exists? Oh right—advertise.
You are, of course, not seriously trying to turn a modest jk into an object lesson about the importance of audience engagement in marketing? Nah, I didn’t think so.
To OP: it can’t hurt, might help, and you can always go the next step by mining your LI network and asking them to help spread the word. Put it this way: you have 100% better shot of getting a gig if people know about it. And I’ve seen some very big industry names facing similar circumstances use LI to let the world know they are looking.
What kind of producer?
