Thinking about looking for a role on a project with J1 that’s not along my career path but will allow for me to do work with no calls so that I can manage both jobs. The first rule of overemployment is dont talk about overemployment to anyone outside your house. :). Second: always protect the main job. Third: As the main job always has the priority, the Second and third jobs must preferably be contract gigs with not too many meetings everyday. Remember: another day, another dollar.

Anyone willing to explain the basic steps of getting a J2 as a consultant or contractor? Do I need an LLC first? Do I do paperwork then find clients or wait till I have clients first?
