One issue I’ve heard is they don’t always have positions for you so there can be gaps between assignments.
I’m curious about others experience with Axiom as well.
I knew someone who worked for Axiom after he had been laid off and he loved it for that purpose - he was able to plug what would have been a resume gap with respectable work for decent enough pay. I don’t know much about whether the assignments are consistent enough for it to be a permanent, full-time solution if you really need full-time income.
Currently at a company similar to Axiom as a recruiter. Engagement work isn’t for everyone so you do have to be clear on what your goals are, what you want your compensation to look like. There are certain practice areas that go from engagement to engagement. There are some where jobs aren’t available. We’ve had attorneys work with us consistently for years. The great thing about engagement companies is that your success is their success. Keeping you on engagements that you’re happy with long term is the business model.
Happy to talk more about the upsides and downsides!
