Depends on the area but, I found it to be cheaper at the end of the day.
I got a better lot, all the upgrades that I was going to renovate for either way and I didn’t have to bid against anyone else.

Do you think that with various factors. New construction will continue to relentlessly increase in Price… supply chain breakdowns, materials price hikes, labor shortages, higher interest rates… and in your expert opinion what can a new developer try to curve the expense on new construction for affordable homes? Let’s start a discussion
Are you buying new construction or buying a lot and building? I think it’s very area specific but I way overestimated the cost in my area. A lot of people will say $200-350 per sq ft to build which I think is crazy. It costs $110 per sq ft to build for rental grade and $150 per sq ft for luxury. Obviously a lot will vary (2x4 vs 2x6, does it need steel beam, exterior finish, type of windows).
