What a life
I know the big 4 doesn’t. If you want to quit you’re expected to work during your 2 week notice and only if you’re lucky they might make you leave the day you turn in your notice (usually if you’re going to another consulting firm, and you still get the 2 weeks pay though).
Deloitte used to have this for M and above if you met certain criteria. Think its something they only do when times are good though
Our office (New York) does 6 weeks full pay + additional week for each year of tenure
I’m in NYO and asked PD about search; my PD told me 4 weeks + 2*tenure?
8 week for A/Cs, 12 for PL, 16 for P
It’s actually denominated in months, not weeks so 8% longer than that. 4 months = 17.3 weeks. And you can take twice as long at half comp with full benefits.
Sorry, post should say 4 weeks+2*tenure, my b
Manager and above at S& is up to 2 months depending on tenure

Is this a geography specific thing? I am in London and I don’t think we have it here
Few of our non-NA offices offer transition/search for voluntary departures. AFAIK they all offer transition/search/garden leave for involuntary departure (or “highly encouraged voluntary departure” in countries with strong pro-employee labor laws).
1 week per year of tenure here
Rising Star
Not common at all.

We’re right around 2-3 months of decreased workload. Not full-time search but dedicated time.
Cool
I think Bain is 6 month or 12 with 50% pay
It might only be for Sr Managers and above (though you are right: you have to stay a year after promotion)
Is the idea of this benefit to be supportive if someone is leaving for a client? What if you leave for a competitor? This benefit sounds bonkers, what am I missing
