You sound like the OP on another post, so here's my 2 cents..
Big corp like G, unfortunately don't have enough resources to handle the volume of applications on daily basis.. I don't think they'd want to burn OH cost to have system/recruiters to reach out to let you know you were rejected.
In case, they might keep a file of all applications to consider as back up in future - potentially.
While it is harsh to candidates, I don't see how it makes sense for companies to spend extra $ to make non hires happy. They are not a charity.
I would imagine their recruiting software could send an automated message when the role has been closed. I don’t think it necessarily needs to be a human-driven exercise.

Definitely not - just keep applying for roles you’re overqualified for, and do well on your interviews is all you can do really
This is kind of par for the course. There’s many factors you also do not know including internal candidates, market, referrals…. Google is also extremely ambiguous. It’s probably going to take some assistance like an internal referral to get you moving.
