For an MBB interview, I wore a tee and had a 15th century renaissance painting behind me (that cost more than 10yrs salary of what I was interviewing for) - can’t make this stuff up. I didn’t get a follow up interview invite 😂

Please just buy a button-down shirt. No need for jacket and tie, but you can easily get a button-down for <$20 from Costco, Amazon, Target, thrift stores, etc

I wear collared t shirts except when attending SteerCo / proposal meetings. Given this is an interview, I’d ask you to err on the side of being more formally dressed than less. A shirt will do just fine. Feel free to get creative when it comes to the lower half.
