What are exit opps for consultants specializing in commercial DD at tier firms (LEK, Parthenon). I feel like it’s hard to compete with IB and Bain people to exit to PE , yet I have no industry (cont)

Please help me with advice

I have two options:
1. Relocate to another city and promote to manager but have my Perm process restarted
2. Stay in my current job position (which I’m tired of) for another year or so until promotion and wait for GC in my current state

My perm has yet to be filed. I’m on a L1 visa with about 3 years remaining and my GC is expected to take a few years since I’m African. My heart really wants a manager position..

Anyone on here in people and change/human capital etc. How do you feel about the work we do? What are good exit ops? Sometimes I feel like feel like I'm not developing "hard" skills.
