Bain & Company Atlanta people! I’m in the process of applying for MBA programs and wanted to ask what recruiting is like for MBB from Emorys program? Is there a reasonable shot at getting into the Atlanta office from Emory, or are those openings primarily filled by other schools (Duke, UVA, etc.)

In my opinion Oliver Wyman is after MBB. Comparing B4 after MBB is not a good take, it’s just different type of work (excluding EYP/S&). MBB are famously C-suite advisory/strategy shops, globally, I think OW is the largest and most well known of the T2s which come after MBB. In the US it’s EYP but not sure if that’s still the case with all the brand dilution that’s been happening
I think that’s a fair point. Have heard both PwC and EY are cross-staffing more often than not, and adding in teams that are not real strategy teams.
From that perspective, you’re basically just left w. MBB and T2s where the true strategy work is happening (OW, Kearney, RB, LEK, Alix, SK, etc.)
At truly global scale it’s a toss up between Deloitte, PwC’s Strategy&, and EY Parthenon. People will argue one over another. There’s also absolutely firms that are better than these 3x or even MBB in specific industries x geographies.
It depends on the practice . For impact consulting for example. It's Dalberg
In my geo and industry it’s Deloitte
Strategy house? No. It’s industry specific.
I am surprised at all the people saying Deloitte here lol. It is now in the same bucket as KPMG/EY/PWC.
For strategy houses, ahead of Deloitte is all of the T2s, many boutiques, and Strategy& and Parthenon.
Yeah make sense
