Please evaluate this initial offer for Apple ICT3. I think I was low balled, but I want to take more opinions. Currently Sr. MTS at VMware, received Apple ICT3. I was expecting to get to ICT4 but seems like team thinks upper end of ICT3 is more apt. Also, I think it is because I don’t have any counter offers yet.

No. That is stupid. This whole “eat the rich” socialism campaign is complete lunacy.
Yeah let’s eat this guy first
Yes. Of course. Legality doesn’t matter. There’s lots of things that are legal that are only legal due to corruption. Billionaires do not earn their wealth. Their employees whom they exploit do.
Nobody was exploited. Everyone got paid for their work. You are not poor just because someone else is rich.
No.... if you work hard you should enjoy the rewards..... unless you have so much money you pay off the politicians to "adjust" laws in your favor.... unfortunately many do this.....
Look into Zakat (maybe an AI search) and how it helps with such issues. You're allowed to hustle and innovate and become rich, but there is a mechanism in place to 'purify' it.
How much innovation, capital investment, and individual capacity for wealth generation are we willing to give up in exchange for having the apparent benefit of less money in circulation? What ethics eoukd call for a smaller economy? Are we assuming wealth creators would still earn the same money without being allowed to keep it? I think that is unlikely. Ethically, we should protect the capitalist system that has allowed an entire country of both rich and poor to all enjoy air conditioning and cell phones. Moreover, government spending contributes to inflation, which reduces wealth in a broad scale.
I like the stabilizing factor capital provides, and certainly don’t think we should arbitrarily set wealth limits. That has only downsides with no benefit.
Is the OP thinking we can have a kind of indentured rich that would continue to build wealth for the rest of us after his income was halted? That would likely prevent capital gains rather than harvest then, right?
No. Why should there be?
Oh boy at all the bootlickers in these comments… society is screwed
No. You get what you earn. Should be your choice if you want to distribute wealth among people, NOT mandated to share wealth.
One "rule of discernment" is: "The truth almost always lies in an uncomfortable middle ground".
This is definitely one of those cases - real practical, and highly ethical measures:
1. Tie compensation of those at the top to those at the bottom, i.e. the very top level of an organisation cannot be compensated more than 10 times the compensation of those at the bottom.
2. Slightly more controversial - governments could implement a 'king' mechanism where, if you accumulate enough wealth you get given an unlimited expense account to do whatever you want with, everything you want or need or your family wants or needs or your children's families want or need is provided for free, but all your assets are absorbed by the government. Basically, you get to live like a 'King' but without any of the responsibility.
I'll take door number 1 please.
My only issue with ethics related to wealth: if someone earns it honestly, awesome. But there should absolutely be a cap on tax write-offs above a certain income threshold.
