A quick note about what I’ve experienced, in my decade long career, is the real advantage of MBB or FAANG - it gives you a shot at stretch roles that are outside your expertise. I’m an analyst & have been working towards associate – I was recently offered an associate role on a different team, but simultaneously am feeling burned out and thinking of leaving the firm within the next 6-8 months to work at a smaller company. I want to accept the associate role for my own professional development and growth. Tips on leaving a role after 6 months without burning bridges? Is that possible? I feel somewhat guilty about leaving my team, but know I have to prioritize my career

I feel like I was straight up lied to during the interview process. “lots of opportunities to hit quota”. I’m sitting here with only one demo two months after joining the company. it looks like our team has only two people doing demos, and demos are only happening once every two weeks. At this rate, I don’t think I’ll be even close to hitting OTE. Are there any other companies hiring right now? I’ll have a discussion about my concerns with my manager soon, but there’s too many red flags here.

What do you do to get yourself comfortable saying something doesn’t exist in an agreement or in case law? When i get questions like this (Ex. Does this contract have XYZ-type language?) I usually figure out the answer pretty quickly…but then I spend a ton of time trying to prove myself wrong.
