My probation was supposed to be of 6 months (i.e until June 2022), but today I received a notification in Workday that I have passed my probation.
How is this possible?
I was planning to resign within probation for 30days notice period. But now this happened. Will this change my notice period to 90days??

I went through this same problem set. Received 90% and I couldn’t justify sacrificing a weekend a month for no more compensation.
I find it wild that the rules are written so you can’t get both- but I’m sure from some comptroller/HR perspective the cost of a disabled vet doesn’t outweigh the gains of having that person in the reserves/NG.
Good to know. Thank you for sharing.
bro u in the promised land. why u ain’t sipping drinks on a caribbean island instead of even working
Lol - fair point.
I’m at 100% and still in. At my rank/tenure I make $40 a drill weekend after paying VA back. My reasoning:
- healthcare for the family, reserve select is only $230 a month and has allowed me to hop around small start ups
- retirement - if I do the bare minimum and retire in 6 years I’ll get $2500 a month at 60
- clearance - they keep my TS active if I ever go back to defense work
Now any type of orders will screw me financially in the short term - pay back $4k a month to VA and possible loss of civilian salary.
