No downsides if you spin it properly IMO. Maybe slight downside if you’re aiming for some super prestigious company.
Recruiter: oh, why’d you leave big 4 for A&M?
Candidate: I really enjoyed the FDD work but A&M comp is the best in the market, by nearly 1.5-2x. It simply attracts highest performers from big 4. They even asked for my performance reviews. It was a no brainer.

I’ve seen no real difference. Exits honestly have been slightly been better but that may be due to the lower turnover rate and people being very selective
I can’t speak from experience but I doubt there is any significant difference between the two. I’m B4 FDD and from what I’ve seen on LinkedIn A&M exits tend to be on par or better than B4. That could also be bc people at A&M tend to have a longer stay in FDD too
Thanks!
A&M are the golden handcuffs of FDD. You will not find better pay to effort ratio if you continue down this path (FDD). If you want to pivot, I’d recommend just doing it now.
Id rather take the 15k but I do appreciate the advice 🙏
Really the same exit opportunities imo
this is my concern, how is A&M perceived in the market vs big 4 FDD
Exit ops are Big 4 FDD
