Is TOIL common in your firms - how are you compensated for working long hours on projects? Do you get automatic TOIL or are the hours just expected?

No TOIL. Just blood, sweat, and tears

Rarely get toil at OC&C but that's if youre doing e.g. 9-12 or more for multiple weeks straight and you cry to staffing and your manager backs it

like

Almost never formally shows up, but if you're working extreme hours for several weeks you can usually get your project lead to let you take a day or two off "unofficially"

like

Common and well-observed. (Pro: it’s pretty well observed and rarely fought; con: it’s fairly common)

It’s automatic in that you record hours and there’s a threshold, but it is approved

Lately, I've been hearing a lot from my peers about how sales isn't a real profession.
I work at a tech startup and it mostly comprises developers. They can't stop emphasizing their importance in the food chain and I can't figure if I'm too humble or they're too arrogant.
This yapping comes from people I've known since college. I have successfully blocked all such negativity but wanted to know if anyone here has faced such scenarios.
P.S: I've already accepted an offer above my expectations

So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?

Does this happen? Or are they just being nice? What’s the probability that they’ll match me to another role?
