As a divorcee with a kid, i find it extremely hard to find friends who can relate, or even making friends as it seems there’s a stigma attached to you because your relationship didn’t work out.

I am an unmarried working man in his 30s with a southern mother. In other words I'm flying home for Christmas and my mother just called to tell me that she just happened to accidentally run into the sweetest girl from her church that she just knows I'll get along with and accidentally invited her to our house for dinner the night that I get home. Let's say Family consists of husband , wife and a kid . I understand we will get good facilities, education, cleanliness , good air etc , however I wanted to check whether people gel up easily in the new environment? Don't they feel loneliness/ difficult to adjust? Do they look for similar asian nationalities to kill boredom?

Dads with older children: while raising your children, did your children prefer their moms over you? I know some will prefer dads over moms, but I assume majority of children out there will prefer their moms over dads… I have one child and it kinda hurts to see my child always preferring the mom over me. I know I shouldn’t feel this way, but I just do. How did you cope with such issue raising your children?
