This may be silly but I dog/cat sit on Rover.com. People pay pretty good money for good pet care and if you can schedule several clients a day, it might be worth it. If you like pets, it's something to look into. The general public might be more understanding than big companies. Also, perhaps you can use your social media to put an honest ad out there to ask for work in whatever work that you do There are good people out there that can make it work. Hope this helps! :)
Me too man me too I’m bilingual and the only disability I have is dyslexia where I can’t read properly, but I forced myself to read at a second grade level and I’m in the same boat as you and I’m trying to figure out if there is such a place that’s hiring
Hi, what kind of job do you hope to find? In my opinion, having a deaf person as part of a work team would be a true asset, as you could offer a valuable perspective to the company that could be used to better serve society. I am currently working at a high school with students who have special needs. I want to find a job in theatre arts but am having trouble finding a job as well. If I were able to hire you, I definitely would. I have learned so much from my students with disabilities and will be a better employer/employee in whatever future career I have because of it. Does your community offer Vocational Rehabilitation Services? If yes, they may be able to help you get your foot in the door with a job you would enjoy. I hope you find something soon - best of luck!
