Who remembers this?

I’m think only we can appreciate this thought.

Gotta say I LOL’d at this.

He's asking you to be his executor and making it harder on you. That's not fair.
He needs to set you up for success.
Followup question: a relative wants to split their assets among four nieces/nephews (which is what the will states). Most cash is in accounts labeled as payable on death with one beneficiary... only two of the four people (the two most reliable and oldest of the four) named in will are on the bank account and it has been stated to me (executor and one of the two named on accounts) “you can all figure it out some day, I’m not worried”. Minefield, right? 🙄
I just went through this. Go with your relative to the attorney, or whomever is writing the will. Make sure every last detail is crystal clear. Do whatever you can to stay out of probate. Get your name on all of the bank accounts!! If there are safety deposit boxes get your name on those as well. It's not an easy process once they have passed. Do it all now!
