It’s 2026, and most of my HNW clients show up to meetings in Lululemon or tech-bro hoodies. I feel like wearing a formal suit actually creates a barrier and makes me look like I’m trying too hard to sell something. Does your firm still enforce a strict dress code, or have we finally moved into the business casual era?

We have no dress code. In your case, I would just lose the tie or otherwise drop down half a notch. You still need to look professional and high-end. HNW do not want to see you in jeans and a polo.

You dress for success. I have never heard from any of my clients that I am overdressed for a face-to-face meeting.

Business Casual has always been a good default and in between casual and a full fledged suit

Has anyone ever heard of this type of real estate private equity fund structure:

-Ability for the Sponsor/Fund to invest directly, indirectly and in equity, debt, Pref, etc.

I was told by a recruiter that M at Deloitte doesn't make more than 180. Just curious if that's actually true and if anyone had experience negotiating higher salary than 180.
