It’s crazy to me to see creatives making “open to work” posts on LinkedIn and not including a link to their portfolio, a couple images of their recent work, a reel, whatever! You work in advertising and don’t know how to sell yourself?? A paragraph about how you just got laid off and how “blindsided” you were is going to do literally nothing except turn people off.

It’s so nice that every agency laying off people, have those left standing (and other agencies) trying to hustle jobs for their unemployed friends, but there are also a ton of people who were unemployed prior to Covid...so no severance, job hunting lot longer, and not earning income for longer time...hurting even MORE due to quarantine.
