I got an interview for Contract - Audit Manager (Remote) role for EY. Are the interviews done remotely or does EY require interviewees to come into the office for interviews?
Just trying to manage my plan as I am currently traveling and the interview came up as an unexpected opportunity.
Thank you!

Sir/ma'am, please don't do it.
It certainly is unreasonable.
If they are working from home and not travelling, doesn't mean that they should dedicate those hours to work.
Why not let them work for the same hours and let them have a life with family.
We often tend to ignore the 'Life' from 'Work Life balance'
I know, we all take our jobs very seriously but sometimes it just goes over the board. Dedication is one thing and over Dedication which creates unnecessary problems is an another deal.
I have done the same at some point, but later I realized that this over dedication, just to please the boss, isn't a good deal.
I stopped asking my team to send me things on weekend or work extra hours, unless very very necessary.
Making my US boss happy by ruining my team members work life balance is utter bullshit. The bosses don't care...however I am responsible for keeping my team in good spirit.
One needs to take a stand and say NO to these unnecessary expectations... probably only then the things will change for better. You can be that ONE.

Just wondering if all the managers and senior position holders in such firms are this lame and retard or is it some specific case with Indian arm 🤔🤔 It's been really astonishing to see people with such sick mentality in consulting industry..... Trust me industries have far far far better work ethics, culture and work life balance....
Also to the author of this post and all other high position holding intellects, I just have a simple question for you sick people - How do you guys sleep and eat so peacefully every day knowing that you are killing your junior's peace of mind, work life balance and what not??? I mean do you guys never ever feel a sense of shame and guilt???

Since they don’t have to travel, they’d be less tired and would definitely sleep less. I suggest you add another two hours to their workday - but mind you, do it during the day time by pushing your calls an hour earlier. In the evening, if your handover starts at 7, push it to 8 or 8:30. Give it a month, once you see they’re cooperating, try to squeeze in another hour. Soon, you should be able to extract not less than 20 hours I say. 🥲
It's such a shame that a leader (going by the way the question is framed) is even giving a thought towards asking their team to work more because they don't commute any longer. This is the reason why we as a community need to develop a worker-friendly environment and such leaders should take a hard look at what they are doing and repurcussions such behaviours can trigger
If they used to work "efficiently" during their two-hour commute pre-COVID, then only it might be considered reasonable. Otherwise not.

Why not ask your teammates to do your laundry and utensils too?
Damn, how can someone be a manager/leader with this sort of mentality???
Is this sarcasm? If not, then you're being a bad person to be honest. Unacceptable. You don't own them.
I don't get it..we r already working beyond the work hours..there's always some urgent piece of deliverable!! N my boss doesn't tell me explicitly that since you are working from home u need to put in extra hours..this shit has been going on since forever..
Yaar one thing I don't like is managers thinking employees are their personal subordinates. No they are not. Managers are only required to manage team, not consider them as owned.

These people....
Employees at lower level as well are humans only with limitations. Respect and love please
It’s only reasonable if they truly have a choice to agree or disagree. Everything else is unilateral
If you want them to start lying then sure you can do that . The rest depends on their performance , you can start this at most twice a week a see a change in performance and attitude .
It's insane. The only reason behind it would be your promotion.
