I'm looking to find a job like the Forward Deployed Engineer role Palantir Technologies in the UK.
I have become hooked on finding a job that involves solving the kinds of problems they presented during their interviews. Although I got to the final round my performance anxiety got the better of me (I think I wanted the job a bit too much...). I will reapply after working in a similar company.
Is it "deep tech" / "data science" or "smart enterprise" that they're doing? Any advice welcome.

I used to work in recruiting. Client-side peeps LOVE using recruiters. Find a good recruiter. Look into the company’s core values and tweak your resume to reflect those values. They’ll eat that shit up. Good luck!
Client side strategy can be tougher. Your boss and your boss's boss and the C-Suite are going to demand more rigor client side than is expected of any agency partner. I'd look into getting an MBA or similar training related to business models as opposed to the usual agency strat stuff. That said, it all depends on the client.
To clarify, I have ample client-side experience. And though clients vary widely in their approaches, they are typically way ahead of agencies in their knowledge and strategy.
Really good advice, thank you. Not sure an MBA is in the cards for me right now. I’d be open to social/digital marketing director type roles as well as strategy as I’ve done a bit of both.
