I've been reassigned to a new duty station and my wife doesn't want to move, is there any way I can appeal the reassignment?

For that reason unfortunately not. You can sign a declination statement, but that would unfortunately would end your career.

I'm sorry, but there's no way unless you have connections up the chain of command that can work a miracle. You just have to think of a way to compromise with your wife. Aside from the understandable inconvenience of moving to a new place, are there other reasons why she refuses to relocate?

That will be a long shot. If you want to appeal for a reassignment it must be for a very valid and exceptional reason.

No, not really. Anyone who signs up for the army or marries someone in the military is simultaneously signing up to have their life uprooted at any moment

Unfortunately, you will not be able to do that. If you did apply they would deny you and probably give you a hard time after that

It can get approved for medical reasons, or if she is the sole caregiver for a close relative (hardship), otherwise you can decline and get out at the end of your current enlightenment. There used to be a PCS “swap” program years ago but not sure if that is still available. Perhaps take a short vacation to the new place and maybe your wife would change her mind, enough to try it.

You can try. But don't get your hopes up. What's her reason why she doesn't want to relocate?

I don't think so. As far as I can remember, reassignments are final. They can only change if if you have a valid reason.

Can someone kindly connect me with Investment Banking HR/Recruiter/anyone willing to help? My friend interviewed for Goldman Sachs NY. Cleared the HireVue but didn’t get any communication further. It’s been 4 weeks now. Although the referral came from a VO but the division is different. My friend is looking for Investment Banking division. Need to get in touch with someone from investment banking to push the resume. The rolling process is hurting the chances.Thank you Goldman Sachs

Coming up on one full year at an ID firm. Feeling overwhelmed with my experience so far. I’ve received minimal training/feedback unless it was on something I messed up. It feels like the expectations don’t align with my level of experience. I have a case load of 45-55 with very little oversight or involvement from partners. Turnover is extremely high, as I’m the second longest tenured associate in the office. Looking for some guidance on whether this is the norm or not. Compensation is low 80’s.

I manage 2 physician practices and one is extremely toxic. To the point the dr sides with staff even when I am trying to make corrective actions when patient care is in jeopardy. My leadership is aware and knows I am keeping my distance from them. Just doing the necessary work to keep them producing. How do you handle this? It’s been extremely stressful and harmful to my ptsd anxiety and depression.
