I’ve been working 100% remotely for a firm in another city for the last two years and it’s been amazing for my productivity and mental health. However, the firm is now mandating a four days in the office policy, and I’m just not willing to move. I’m looking for a new role that is permanently remote, but I’m seeing fewer and fewer of those postings lately. Is it still possible?

There are a few remote firms, Husch, Scale LLP, Practus, and Quinn, that I can think of. There are also lots of in-house positions still fully remote.

What is your practice area?

You just have to negotiate for it. I’m still fully remote.

Normally, I wouldn’t have issues working in a restaurant, but I feel like in this setting it may be really disrespectful the chef.
And yes, I only want to eat at the sushi counter for a full omakase experience.

I have an offer for $130k for a senior attorney position in a boutique L&E firm. Also have a recruiter who thinks she can get me into another for $150-170k. Both are more than I’ve ever made (Denver, 17 yrs of experience but completely different practice areas). Any tips for countering the $130k offer for more using the other potential offer while not risking a complete withdrawal of the current offer? I’ve never been in a position to bargain my starting salary so this is all very new to me.

I interviewed at a law firm and had my final round last Friday. The Tuesday afterward, I got a call from the recruiter saying the firm won’t have a decision for another week. I believe they’re interviewing other candidates. Does that make me second or third choice? And does the fact that I’m working with a recruiter hurt my chances of being selected due to the commission?
