I’ve been wrestling with a career decision lately: is it better to be a big fish in a small pond or take a smaller role at a big-name company? Right now, I’m at a boutique firm where I have a lot of responsibility and my contributions are highly visible. But I’ve been approached about a role at a major institution—it’s a step down in title, but the name recognition and networking opportunities could be huge. Part of me worries about being lost in the shuffle, though. Have you faced this choice before? Which path did you take, and how did it shape your career?
