When I negotiated my comp, all my discussions were around me being a junior and I only accepted my comp for that reason (would not have accepted if I was step above junior since it was low). Negotiations happened with HR, but my offer letter and documents never mention junior (but I have proof from HR saying I am a junior). PPMDs, if an employee comes to you and ask for support to join a different group within the firm and the employees ends up not getting the other role, do you typically treat them differently after (e.g., not staffing them on as many deals) / would you hold them back from promotion the following year?
