Alvarez & Marsal I’ve completed all of my interviews with Alvarez & Marsal over a week ago. They informed me that the team debrief to make a decision was the day after my final interview. They’ve now reached out to schedule a 20 minute phone call with the Senior Director of Operations. Are they hoping to ask more interview questions or do they want to talk logistics before making an offer? Just curious what my chances are of getting an offer since I’m waiting to make a decision on other offers.

Be careful if the process isn’t going well or fast maybe it isn’t a good cultural fit? A&M is aggressively recruiting and handing out offers at a rapid clip. Personally not attracted to it because until managing director there every role is a step back in career progression even if the pay is a bit better. But to each their own! Good luck 🍀

Definitely sounds like they plan on discussing an offer. I will note that while I don’t know exactly how CPI operates, it does sound somewhat odd that a SD would have that conversation instead of an MD. That said, they may discuss logistics and the comp will follow immediately after in writing (SDs don’t typically discuss comp in PEPI at least, is my point).
Nonetheless, I’d be prepared to negotiate going into that conversation in case comp is discussed. Negotiating in the initial conversation allows you to set the standard and for them to react. If you wait and do it all via email/follow up afterwards, you put the control back in their hands. That approach worked well for me at least, YMMV.

I completed a case study last week and I got 80% of it done correctly. I’m worried I didn’t get through enough of it. Interviewer told me I did great though and the other interviews I’ve been told I would fit well. Anyone know if case study needs to be 100% correct in order to get offer?
Honestly at first I was little put off because I sunk some time into the case and he obviously didn’t care, but I quickly came around to the idea that he just had his priorities straight. Turned out to be a super nice guy.
