Bain & Company Hi All. I am an Energy Engineer and 3 years of experience. I want to switch to a management consultancy because I think I would be a good fit for strategy consulting and want to move into ESG/Climate Financing. I would love to interview with your team if you’re looking to hire someone with this background (happy to share more via DMs).
The purpose of this post is to also ask for referrals so please let me know if I could reach out to you for that. TIA! McKinsey & Company Bain & Company Boston Consulting Group

What exactly do you do? At my organization a lot of the “legal professional” positions are being replaced by AI.
Litigation Paralegal in products liability, personal injury, trucking litigation, MDLs, medical malpractice etc handling all aspects of case management, discovery, depo prep, trial prep and attendance, basically everything involved in litigation. Process improvement and creating SOPs, etc.
I am surprised at this since legal work volume was still quite high last year (from various reports I've read). I know my firm's paralegals are all super busy. Do you think that it's the fact that you're looking for remote work that is the challenging factor here? I know a lot of firms have moved to 4 days a week (mine is still at 3 days a week, which is so helpful for those of us commuting up to 50 miles in to a very congested city). So maybe they want in-office presence for the work that requires still physical paper shuffling and courtroom trial support.
As to the comment made by Equity Partner 1, I would posit that if attorneys can be trusted to log their billable hours when working from anywhere, going to client meetings, etc., if there is a supportive culture in the firm, there is no reason to trust that the others wouldn't be as hardworking when working remotely. Sure, I may have the termite inspector of HVAC maintenance guy coming, and it's handy to be able to be home to let them in instead of having to take a half-day or full day just for that when I have a load of work I need to get done. When I work from home and don't have to commute 1.5 hours in each way in congested traffic, don't have to do hair and makeup and can walk a few feet to my fridge for a healthy lunch, I am able to work until past 11 pm often and knock work out.
My firm trusts me to get work done no matter where I am, and does so of their assistants and paralegals, not just their attorneys. Those attorneys who are concerned about people being distracted while working remotely have a larger issue on their hands. Plus, the number of people who are chitchatting in the halls about non-work-related things and for a long time (such a chat took place for 30 minutes outside my office last week) itself takes away from productivity. But the argument is that it produces the glue that helps people work well together. Certainly, but if someone is spending hours each week chatting with folks, how is that better than spending a few seconds letting in a maintenance person while putting in 14 hour workdays and moving big projects and cases along?
In any case this is probably the perspective of a lot of law firm partners, so it could be an obstacle to remote roles. Your list is super helpful. I also know for a fact that McKesson also has remote roles available in certain departments, including some IT support roles, so that company name could also be added to the list.
I applied to some local firms, but their pay is so low and the recruiter I'm working with thinks seeing my last firm they know they can't pay what I'm used to making and that I'd likely not stay. I'm also hoping to relocate soon. Most of the roles are remote and are in-house roles. I know remote is competitive, but I posted this hoping to help others looking for fully remote as lots of these companies had legal roles!
I am right there with you. I have applied to hundreds of jobs and ony had two interviews total. It really is the worst job market I have ever seen. Thank nyou for sharing this list. I will definitely be checking these out.
It really is! I've found more that I can add to the list tomorrow. Hopefully others find it useful too!
A lot of these places have attorney openings! Good luck!
