Can I use ey laptop to attend interview ?
I have interview scheduled and completed from Commonwealth Bank Bangalore location. All technical rounds cleared.
When I called HR i got a surprise answer..
They mentioned the position which I have intervied is different than the salary rem ranges. And my current salary is higher than position what they have got and asked for approval for rem ranges changes..
Is any one faced this? Ideally HR should know expectation and allocation before scheduling intervjew..

How do you all deal with the guilt of leaving a comany/ team? I have been working at Microsoft for 1 year now, and seriously considering moving. I find the code base to be very legacy and I mostly work on obscure bugs that I spend so much time on, mostly due to navigating this large code base and not having much docs to refer to. Hence I find the job slightly unsatisfying, and that I could learn more elsewhere. However, I love the wlb, the team and company culture. The guilt stops my applying.
JPMorgan Chase recently introduced a policy change to increase the notice period to 60 days. I'm a 602 and resigned recently and yet my LWD is showing up as 30 days from now. Anyone recently resigned can confirm if they are facing the same or new policy is in effect. This is causing confusion with the next companies I'm interviewing with.

Both. I've been OOW 7 months. Been top performer entire time Ive been working (25+ years). Nowadays in IT, I believe you should always be looking. With that said, people are looking out the window on a nice Friday and not getting hiring and following up done. It doesn't hurt to have a new message hit their mailbox one last time for followup to stay on their radar but if they aren't responding and there is no OOO, they are likely not going to respond. Best case, you remind them and they action something. Worst case, you waste a few seconds of their time back. ;)
It seems like the people in charge of the hiring process are severely slacking and think they can’t look through all applicants it’s very frustrating and ignorant that’s your job😅
The classic "dont call us we will call you"
I so agree. Im 63 and what UK employer will offer a job to someone 4 years of their working life left?
"We'll be in touch" is not usually a strong positive signal. Did they ask about your salary expectations? Did they discuss when you could start? Did they explain the role in detail, including your responsibilities? Did they talk about the company's benefits, culture, or what makes the opportunity attractive?
If none of those topics came up, it may not be a good sign. Of course, it's not always a definite rejection, but I wouldn't assume you've got the job yet. It might be worthwhile to review your interview performance and identify areas where you can improve, so you're better prepared for future opportunities.
You could email them just to follow up and ask about what's going on with the position.
They really should at least send an email saying they moved on with other candidates if you actually went in person for an interview.
So you want me to reach out to the people who don’t have time to reach out sounds good if I wanted to waste time👍🏻
