I've heard of smaller companies doing this. My friend's company offered to pay for a lawn service for her after she purchased her first home.
That sounds like a decent place to work 😊

My employer has one. It is technically a charitable foundation that our population contributes to via paychecks. The company matches the contributions and we have a committee that reviews the requests for aid. The requests are anonymous to protect identities and avoid favoritism.
Nice! Thaank you for sharing that insight!
never heard of companies providing hardship pay for repairs but my firm used to offer cash advances for any unforeseen emergencies,it came with zero interest and was deducted form salary on a monthly basis..
That's another good offering. Thanks for sharing that feedback!
Humana does
We have a similar fund here. When staff donate their PTO or people like family donate some of those funds go to a fund for staff members experiencing hardship. There is an application but it is nice to know that if something crazy happens my employer can help give me a hand up. It's also super smart on the employers side of things...because a stressed financially strapped employee won't work well and they may leave you for a company paying more or offering a sign on to get out of the rut they landed in.
Exactly! My company recently put me in a bad position by pushing me take a medical leave (i said no at first but was really pushed) and then when their claims adjuster tried to deny it, they delayed in helping resulting in 6 months of no payment. I informed them of the stress I was under given I had just purchased a home and no offer of any support nor services was provided. Having something like this would have been such a great help. And I'm determined to push this type of suggestion forward while I plan my exit...gotta find something to motivate myself while I continue to work for these folks...
Amazon only pay for bycycle with cycle to home scheme and studies
I'm noticing many large companies like that are supper stingy with their money to the point of oppressive. It's sad 😔
I've actually never heard of that surprisingly. I could've put it to good use around two years ago had we had something of the sort in our company.
Yes! I could have used something like this and since changes only seem to happen when discomfort is felt, I'm channeling some of the energy I have into making that available for others. I actually reached out to some pretty senior people to inform them of hardship I was facing with this suggestion, only to receive no reply. I've got one other channel to attempt, and then I'll just move on.
