I've never done an internship before, so excuse me if this question might come off as ignorant or silly.. but why are internships mostly unpaid? It makes me wonder if interns get to work on anything substantial at all or if they're really just running errands for the people who are actually doing the work. I'd love to hear about your real-life experience on an internship in the recent past.

Not many people seem to care about those agency of the year titles anymore. Especially in the past 2 to 3 years. Even to the winners. Right?

Any advice on how to handle an ECD in charge of your salary who says the only way to get a promotion or even a COL raise of any kind is through winning an award? Not consistently reliable and solid performance. Not keeping the client happy and profitable. “You either win an award, or all ya get is to keep your job.”
