I’ve worked in fraud prevention for almost 5 years now. 3.5 years as a fraud analyst and then worked my way up to fraud strategist.

Analyst was a lot more customer facing and I was on the phone/emails 50-75% of the time. Which I don’t like and wanted more fraud research focus.

Strategist has been more client facing and better but high stress with unreasonable expectations from clients. I’m looking to pivot away from this career field altogether. Any suggestions?

I've become really jaded about consulting. I find all so often you need to tell the client what they want to hear to keep their business and I feel like so much of the what I recommend doesn't actually get implemented. I'm looking to make a career switch so I can both create and execute on my strategies. A product management path seems very promising for this.

Has anyone received equity as contingency comp? I have a potential client with a founders dispute. He doesn’t have cash, and the other founder ripped him off and is now running the company. I'm trying to figure out how to pivot out of my current job. My department is in utter chaos, which has just become completely unmanageable. I'm looking for front-end web design work, and work from home. I am a strong designer and basically set up landing pages for large companies on a proprietary CMS in our company. What are the differences between digital marketing (paid social and search) and product marketing? thinking I want to pivot to the latter but am not sure what skills are different.

Why is education deemed more valuable on a pay scale than experience? Employers will pay someone with a degree and no experience a greater salary, than someone who has exhibited the experience. Understanding that the degreed person committed to school and finished, yet that doesn't diminish what the not degreed has committed to and accomplished in their careers. This has to stop!
