I have seen someone get ED title with 4 years experience. If the job comes with the title and they think you can do the job and hire you for it, you get the title. Comp likely at low end of the range though
Agree comp is usually on the low end for those roles when someone is so junior.
VP with only 3.5 YOE?
That early depends on the role, I see this happen more often in operations type roles. I am in a strategy type role as a VP making mid 200s. Most of my colleagues have anywhere between 7 to 9 yoe total before getting to VP level. We would expect 7 yoe for a VP job req with 3 to 5 in consulting. With the current job market we are having to shift our standards a bit.
It's not as rare in back/middle office. Have seen plenty of auditors / tech folks directly out of B4 with 3-4 yoe make VP
Probably around 110-120
Wow - what did you do to get to vp so quickly ? Would appreciate any advice
That makes sense. Expertise in a niche field usually helps. Same thing happened to me coming from ratings
