Hey folks
I got a call from TCS to interview for a new unit formed within org with the name of Business Transformation Group as per new org restructuring. Anyone from TCS who can help to understand more about this?
Does it cater to only niche technologies or how does this actually function?

Had a lady bring in her salad in the conference room and proceeded to pick on her salad the entire interview. Did not make any eye contact at all, and occasionally made "mmmm" sounds whenever she shoveled some lettuce into her mouth.
Oh, another one from me (sorry guys, long career). Went to meet the DoS after already being approved by the CCO. Lady grilled the shit out of me and then said "I believe it would be totally mediocre of this agency to hire you." Turns out CCO was being walked out the door that day.
Once had an interview with a woman who excused herself after asking the same questions over and over for 10 mins. I waited another half hour for her to return. Finally went to reception to ask what was going on. Lady had quit and went home. No job offer.
I once had an interview where at the end they offered me a job at Havas... and I took it.
I had an interview where the interviewer talked shit about people I used to work with that we both knew. She spoke more about herself in the interview than about me. Honestly the other interviewers were great but she left a bad taste in my mouth and I ended up rejecting the offer.
I had an interview where lunch was catered in. The person I interviewed with asked me 15 minutes of questions, excused himself, took his lunch and left. I ate by myself for 45 minutes defeated.
CD2, shit that's awful. Did you get therapy? You OK?
Had an internship interview with HR at TBWA in LA and was told I said "like" too much and that I didn't come off as passionate. Jokes on her.
AD, I'd listen to that advice about the word "like."
Turns out I was interviewing with someone for what was ostensibly his job and he spent 30 of our 45 minutes together crying and telling me how hard his job is. I ended up playing therapist and cut the rest of the interview process short.
Started an interview with a guy who's first words were, "So I'm going to need to prep you to interview with the next guy you're going to meet with." It did not end well.
Name dropped a mutual acquaintance. Turns out said mutual acquaintance had been fired for sexually harassing the person interviewing me. Was not asked back.
I had a couple quick changes iin jobs while working my way through an unexpected divorce. Interviewer didn't accept my interview-appropriate answers when he asked about them and kept pressing for a different explanation. Exasperated, I finally said - I've been working my way through a divorce. His response: "So what you're saying is, you have commitment issues."
Showed up for an interview with the account lead after being vetted by HR a week earlier. Account lead never shows up (I was in her office waiting), but HR eventually comes back to tell me sorry, they'd filled the opening internally and no one told her. Oops! Never interviewing at that shop again.
This is not exactly an interview story but still a good one. I had a partner, Steve who took a job at a large agency. On his first day, he was brought up to the creative floor to meet with his new boss. The boss made him sit there for 45 min while he sat down the hall, bullshitting with co-workers and playing his guitar (seriously that cliche, a guitar). Steve realized, if he's going to treat me this bad on my first day, it's only going to get worse from here on out. So he walked out and got his old job back. The messed up part is, years later, I worked for that boss and he would do the same thing to people waiting to present work to him.
I interviewed with a very drunk Frank Ginsberg for a Jr Copywriter gig. It lasted 1.5 hours and he offered me the job. Turned it down.
Went for an interview in another country. They had at the last minute asked me to do a small spec project for the interview. Worked my ass off for 48 hrs then flew 13 hours over seas and had the interview a day after I got there. When we started the interview they asked me to present the work without any set up from them. Only to ask where the rest of it was once I finished. All it said within the folders of translated briefs was two items and not a whole campaign. The recruiter messed up and apologized after the interviewers left for her mistake. But they decided to not move forward with me because of how much trouble I already went through in the process and they didn't want to burden me they said. Ughhhh
One time they put me with someone who had worked at my (then current) agency. She played the name game and talked shit about everyone on my team for 30 minutes and then left and said I could see myself out. Thankfully wasn't a position/agency I was excited about but still reported it.
Go into an interview with the GM of the department and he looked at me, at my resume, then says "why are you here? You're not qualified for this position..." & I send the whole 30 minutes convincing him I am...
I interviewed at an agency near Columbus circle and the President sat for two minutes, took a phone call for 25 minutes and then came back and called me a charlatan. HR then proceeded to dodge my calls and emails for about a month then finally called me in for a final round.
